1948 HACKERCRAFT 22 TRIPLE COCKPIT

Rare! Black interior.

This is a rare 1948 22ft Hacker-Craft Triple Cockpit Runabout. Beam 7ft, Draft 23, Freeboard 34, Seating 8. Restoration just completed and she has been in the water twice for about 2 hours total in the last 30 days. Restoration takes her back to virtually new condition as all deck, side and bottom 1/2 mahogany planks replaced, new inner bottom LLoyds 1/4 plywood with 3M 5200 layer inbetween. All new white oak frames, keel and stem. The stringers are original. The deck and sides have 18 coats of varnish, the bottom has three coats of two part Interlux epoxy paint. The two tone stained deck is as originally delivered. All fasteners replaced with silicon bronze screws and bolts. The 1954 Chrysler Marine Hemi M45S Right Turn Engine has been totally rebuilt increasing horsepower to 300+. It has original to this engine hydraulic transmission, with original to the boat column shifter. All original brass hardware has been replated except for replacement top rub rail. The interior deep cushion seats and cushions have new marine foam and black leather. The steering wheel is a replacement 1930s Cadillac banjo with Cherry wood (I have the original steering wheel that goes to the new owner). The gauges are new old stock Stewart Warner. The dash cluster is original and replated with original brass insert polished and machined turned and varnished. The flooring planks are 1/2 varnished mahogany as are the two dashes. Over 3000 hours put into this restoration. Of course all new wiring, bilge pump, blower and HD Marine battery. The boat also comes with a new custom tandem Roadrunner trailer with disc brakes, alloy wheels (including the spare) and LED lights.
She is christened MISBEHAVIN and was shown last month at Keels & Wheels in Keman, Tx where she won best in class, and at the Ft Worth Boat Club where she won best in show and best in class.
John Hacker was the early genius boat designer of this deep V concave hull type that gives this boat a wonderful flat ride even in rougher water and on big lakes or even offshore boating. This boat sold for $4400 when cars sold for little over $1000 so was definately the Rolls Royce of her time. And today is one of the most sought after classic wooden boats of all time. New Hackers can still be bought but have a long waiting period and cost over $100,000 today.
She is ready for this summer and many more summers of enjoyment.

1955 CHRIS CRAFT COBRA

A magnificent tribute to one of the rarest and most beautiful Chris Crafts built. The boat is a 21 foot replica of a 1955 Chris Craft Cobra. It was designed and built by Kib Hundley who began building boats in the early 1920's and grew to be one of the largest Chris Craft boat dealers in the United States. The boat was conceived by Kib and his son Byron who built the boat for their own use. It is a magnificent watercraft that is equipped with today's technology and equipment. The drive train is a new Mercruiser V-8 with less than 100 hours. In addition it is fully equipped with a custom interior, La Carrera steering wheel, custom gauge package, stereo system, a unique bow thruster system, tonneau cover, and custom aluminum trailer. When one looks at this boat, it is difficult to differentiate it from a Cobra built in 1955. However, this boat is comfortable to drive and drives like a powerful well sorted, well designed watercraft designed and built in 2006. This boat in the water is pure enjoyment with the extraordinary looks of the vintage Cobra.

1957 CENTURY ARABIAN

Informations : Century concentrated on small pleasure boats and during World War II built some 3,500 assault boats for the U.S. Navy. It returned to pleasure boat building after the war, concentrating on construction in rot-resistant and beautifully grained mahogany. One of Century's most successful designs was the 19' 5" Arabian inboard. Offered with a variety of engines, and sometimes successfully powered by thundering Muscle motors including Chrysler 440s and 426 Hemis, the Arabian offered a gentle and adaptable hull design that earned no small amount of praise as a satisfying water ski boat with room for family and friends. Constructed of mahogany planking, the Arabian is beautiful and practical. This sparkling Arabian was completely restored in 2001 and has a freshly overhauled 312 cubic inch Ford Interceptor V-8 with a pair of low profile Carter YF sidedraft carburetors and new old stock Velvet Drive transmission. It is beautifully finished in bright marine varnish showing the grain and rich depth of its mahogany hull. The interior is upholstered in yellow and brown vinyl. The instruments and dashboard are restored to showroom condition and the deck fittings are brightly chromed for show and durability. It comes with a dual axle trailer. There is an active club of Century boat owners offering both support in maintenance and repair and club events. The summer boating season will be much more enjoyable with this beautiful Century Arabian at your dock.
